When it comes to selling houses, it's essential that sales advisors 'buy in' to the quality, look and feel of the properties they're promoting.
That's why Stephen Sales Advisor Andrea Mitchell is in the right job! Selling houses throughout Scotland for around 15 years, Andrea has the exciting and challenging role of selling homes in what's gearing up to be a model new town for Scotland.
The Perth-based family firm is one of two housebuilding companies creating a variety of one to five bedroom homes at Tornagrain, located half way between Nairn and Inverness. What's more, the firm's contribution to the town is already award-winning, with Stephen and ZeroC recently presented with the 'Private Development of the Year' (medium) award at the Homes for Scotland Awards 2019.
Stephen was singled out in respect of Phase 1A of Tornagrain which, launched in September 2017, saw the construction of 43 homes, a block of one and two bedroom apartments, two and three bedroom terraced homes and three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached homes.
Having been in her post for around two years, Andrea has taken many clients on the journey from their first showhome visit to key handover day. Indeed, many of her clients have also become her friends.
Andrea said, "It's absolutely wonderful watching the Tornagrain community grow. Each and every one of the visitors is blown away by what they see, whether it's the exceptional quality of the properties themselves or the lovely environment around us. There truly is nothing else like this, and people are amazed at how different the development is compared to anything else in the Highlands, from the beautiful colours and variety of build, through to the innovative yet highly useable green space on offer for residents to enjoy."
Indeed, never in her career has Andrea observed the way in which the community is coming together, adding, "The fantastic thing about Tornagrain is that they complete everything relating to each phase all in one go rather than concentrating on the houses and then going back to finish up the lighting or planting of trees and shrubs. It means that each phase is complete and feels like a home before they move onto the next phase."
But of course, the environment doesn't just look good, it's also useable space. As well as community tennis courts, play parks, lots of trees and shrubs, there are herb gardens and, at present, over 30 allotments!
Andrea commented, "The allotments have been extremely popular and, in fact, there's currently a waiting list! They're fantastic on so many levels, from encouraging residents to embrace a sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle where they can, to teaching children where our food comes from."
It goes without saying that the huge emphasis on environment is helping shape this vibrant community. In fact, the recent Tornagrain barbeque not only attracted existing residents but those who have yet to move in, giving buyers a chance to meet their future neighbours!
So, if Tornagrain appeals to you, you'll be glad to hear that Stephen have recently released a block of six, one bedroom apartments, four of which have already been snapped up, with the first residents moving in early next year.
There's also a four bedroom detached home, due for completion in December 2019, and a combination of three bedroom properties. A range of two to five bedroom homes will also be released for sale in the year ahead with the stunning showhome, a three bedroom 'Dunvegan' available to view from Thursday to Monday, between 11am and 5pm.
