Help to Buy Scone

We recently heard that the number of first-time buyers in 2014 rose to its highest level in seven years.

One of the UK's largest lenders reported that 326,500 people bought their first house or flat last year - a rise of 22% compared to 2013. That was the highest total since 2007, at the start of the financial crisis.

The main reason was cheap mortgage rates, and Government schemes like Help to Buy (Scotland), which require small deposits. Indeed, about 80% of those taking advantage of the Help to Buy scheme throughout the UK are purchasing their first property.

If, at the tail end of 2014, you read that the Help to Buy funds had now been exhausted here in Scotland, you’re perhaps thinking your moment has passed.

However, despite the previous package of funds having been swallowed up, a new pot will be available from 1 April 2015 onwards.

The scheme enables people to put down a deposit for as little as 5% of the selling price, making Help to Buy fantastic assistance for anyone looking to get onto the property ladder, with buyers enjoying an interest-free loan on any of our homes up to the cost of £250,000, provided it’s their only residence.

The perfect solution, homes which are also eligible for the Help to Buy scheme, lies just outside Perth, in the busy village of Scone. Stephen’s fantastic range of slick ground and upper floor apartments within their own private courtyard comprise of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as their own dedicated parking space. These contemporary homes are made even more attractive due to their comprehensive IKEA package, with the Swedish design house having provided everything from blinds, beds and rugs to mugs, plates and cutlery!

With the Help to Buy initiative, if you were to opt for one of our apartments, starting at just £155,000, your monthly mortgage payments are likely to be less than renting a similar property.

So, to ensure that you don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity, consult an independent financial advisor without delay, and get the application process moving.

And if you need any further assurance about the quality of these homes, Alan Robertson, Balgarvie Site Manager, travels down to London this week, vying for the UK title of NHBC’s Pride in the Job awards. So buying a Stephen home just made even more sense!
